0007 GMT [Dow Jones] WCT (9679.KU) may rise to MYR2.62 (September 2008 peak) following award of 4 contracts worth MYR766.5 million for infrastructure construction work in southern Johor state's Iskandar Malaysia, says dealer. In exchange filing, company says project, awarded by Medini Iskandar, unit of main developer Iskandar Investment, was for series of infrastructure-related work, including drainage, road construction, water reticulation, sewerage, electricity sub-stations. Will be completed by July 2011. "These contracts boost WCT's orderbook to around MYR3.76 billion, consisting of projects both within Malaysia and the Middle East. During Invest Malaysia 2009, WCT indicated it planned to boost its orderbook by MYR1.0 billion this year." says trader. Stock ended +2.5% at MYR2.47. (KPL,VGB)
